Welcome Dreamers, I’m Amber Blackmon!

I promise you, I’ve been where you’re at right now. Dreaming of building a life in another country, but having no idea of where to start. That’s why I’m here.

In 2015, I embarked on my first international journey to study abroad in Granada, Spain. Little did I know, a seed was planted that forever changed my outlook on life and sparked the STRONGEST desire to continue exploring the world outside of my home country.

Even though I made my way back to the States, I knew it would only be temporary. In 2017, I moved to the United Kingdom to complete a Master’s program in Information Security. I was checking off all of the boxes I thought led towards success and what was expected of me, but that little voice inside still continued to whisper of living a life of freedom and flexibility.

Towards the end of my course, I knew my soul yearned to continue living abroad but I had no idea how to sustain the lifestyle I dreamed of.

This is where I want to help you. Sometimes we already have the tools we need, but no understanding of how to use them to work for us.

Living abroad introduced me to a taste of freedom, humanity and happiness that I couldn’t shake. It gave me a taste of what a life of creativity and independence was like, outside of the box I’ve always been taught to stay within. It showed me that you don’t need a corporate office to define success — success is defined merely by what makes you the happiest.

For me, that was living in a country that provided me the affordability to invest in my personal finances and creative dreams, the accessibility to enjoy them in a safe and welcoming environment and the freedom to own my time and take care of my mental and emotional health without systemic barriers trying to tear me down.

Now I live in the beautiful country of Mexico and over the last 6 years, I’ve learned the ins and outs of what it takes to create a life abroad that fosters and encourages personal development, financial advancement and mental clarity.

You’re in the right place sis. Let me help you make that dream a reality!

There’s more to consider when expatriating than picking a country.

After expatriating 3 times over the last 6 years, I’ve gained so so so much knowledge that I wish I would’ve had in the beginning.

From downsizing and auditing my finances to understanding what legal documentation is necessary to expatriate — not only would having this knowledge have made my move easier, but it would’ve prepared me with the tools I needed to comfortably sustain a lifestyle abroad.

Moving abroad is one of the most exciting and exhilarating experiences you can have, but to get there it’s important to make sure that you’re ready for all of the steps, hurdles and preparation that comes with having a smooth and successful transition abroad.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is quitting their job and taking the leap, with no clear direction or plan. No understanding of their why or what they want out of life and this big decision. Don’t make this mistake — ain’t nobody trying to be broke and unprepared abroad, especially not YOU!

In all of the excitement of starting a new journey, it can be overwhelming to know what to do to prepare and where, or even how, to begin your research. This is why having community is SO important!

Clarity

You want to start saving money, but you’re not sure how much to budget for or how to create a solid budget action plan. A major part of setting yourself up for a successful move abroad is being intentional about where your finances stand and where they need to be.

Auditing your finances and creating realistic budget goals promotes the creation of generational wealth. We want to help you not only change the course of your future, but change the future for those to come after you.

We will ensure you have a clear understanding of how to budget your finances and a variety of investment options to help your money grow.

Freedom & Flexibility

Living, not surviving

Often, moving abroad comes with a renewed sense of freedom from the attachments that once potentially held you back or occupied a disrespectful amount of time without pouring back into you. How often have you pushed aside things you wanted to do or learn, because you simply didn’t have the necessary time?

We will help you realign your narrative to consider not the things you have to do but the things you want to do, putting your personal advancement at the top of the list. Pick up that photography dream again, establish a career being a writer — if you can dream it, you can do it.

Freedom pushes you outside of your comfort zone, which grants you permission to be whoever you want to be — you will walk away with a thorough action plan that leaves you understanding your why and feeling intentional in planting the seeds of new projects to grow and bloom.

Access

to the keys of self-preservation

In the United States, specifically for minorities and those in racially targeted communities, access to things like fresh healthy food and affordable healthcare can be a rarity. Causing us to often put less priority on our health and well-being.

Traveling abroad is a privilege that you may be the first person in your family to experience. While paving the path for those to come is an amazing and courageous act, the knowledge often begins with you.

You are not alone in this journey.

We will equip you with access to the information you need to not only prepare you for a new destination, but to prepare you to confidently prioritize your mental and emotional health and well-being in your new home.
